Presidential Research!

Work hard!
Make the most of this time --- We need to get this finished!

Where do I start??

You can use the Cobb Virtual Library to look up each of your Presidents.

The White House has a whole section about the Presidents just for kids!

Check out World Book Online. You can search for your Presidents by name!

One more - World Almanac for Kids also has some really good information.

Helpful hints:

  • When you're looking for major events during the first term, I want to know what "big things" happened during their first four years as President. These "big things" should affect the WHOLE country.
  • "Main candidate defeated" = Who did they beat to become President during the election?

Use the links below to explore simple machines...

Make sure you read the directions first! You'll look at different pictures and name the simple machines you see.

Draw a line between the two columns to connect the simple machine with an example.

Click on MATCHING. Match the definition with a picture of a real-life example. You can try the concentration game, but I haven't looked at it yet! :-)
